Lactobacillus ferment is a probiotic that restores microbiome balance—in other words, the mixup of flora in your skin—keeping nice bacteria in and mean bacteria out. These live microorganisms have redness-reducing qualities and help your skin barrier defend itself from outside stressors.
Inulin is a hardworking prebiotic (the food consumed by probiotics, enabling them to thrive) that helps preserve the *healthy* appearance of your skin, working alongside post and probiotics to balance the skin's microbiome. Inulin is also a natural humectant, meaning it's able to draw water from its surroundings (your skin) to keep hydration levels high.
Coconut Fruit Extract is a postbiotic (an organism produced during probiotic fermentation) high in antioxidants that works in tandem with pre and probiotics to optimize your skin's delicate balance of flora. Coconut Fruit Extract has a particular talent: strengthening and thickening your skin barrier to revive past damage which again, helps your skin to protect itself from harm.

Australia's zit-hating export, Tea Tree, is a potent ally against breakouts. An antioxidant and loyal pore unclogger, we formulated SILKSHAKE with a low percentage of Tea Tree, making it gentle and effective without being irritating. It also happens to smell extraordinarily freshhhh!
A plant-derived antioxidant that reduces irritation and redness by guarding your skin from environmental pollutants, stressors and bacteria. Açai berry also happens to be replete with Vitamin A which encourages cell turnover, and Vitamin C which is notorious for its brightening abilities.

My skin has been CONSISTENT with this product. I’ve had other washes that had worked really well in the beginning and then did nothing later, smelled bad, or were WAY too drying. This wash felt different right from the start—I felt oddly hydrated afterwards? Anyways, my back skin has been free of major cysts. Paired with the scrub, it’s really cut down on the large pimples and blackheads that were downright painful.
Will this make everything go away? It’s been about two months since I purchased. So far no, but it’ll make it super manageable. Unless someone were to get up and close to me, they wouldn’t see any new zits.
Not too much of a smell. Kind of expensive—toes the line between fairly priced and fancy Sephora stock item.
This stuff works like magic! Definitely buying this again!
Have been using it for less than a month but already starting to see clearer skin.
After 16 years of body acne I’ll try anything and the last few years my back has started to join the pimple party too. Although these seem expensive I think I will continue use. After just 4 days use my skin is softer after using silk shake and less bumpy with the scrub, the results last longer between uses than other scrubs I’ve used too.
